Inspired by the U47, Reimagined for the Modern Studio

At its core, the TF47 follows the sonic blueprint of the revered U47, but with updated precision and reliability. It features a K47-style all-brass capsule, a NOS 5840W vacuum tube, and a custom-wound BV8 transformer, the same transformer spec used in the original U47. This circuit architecture produces thick, bold lows, forward mids, and a smooth, airy top, capturing every nuance with rich harmonic detail.

Three Polar Patterns for Maximum Flexibility

With switchable cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 polar patterns, the TF47 adapts effortlessly to a variety of recording environments. Use cardioid for isolated vocals or close-miked instruments, omni for capturing room ambience or group vocals, and figure-8 for duets, stereo techniques, or mid-side applications.
