Each mic is equipped with the TK61 capsule: a 15mm gold-sputtered diaphragm engineered with a 6-micron membrane thickness, designed to capture full-range information with excellent off-axis linearity. The omni-directional polar pattern makes these mics particularly well-suited for room capture, ambient cues, and stereo pair configurations like A-B or spaced omni. The TK61 capsule delivers a flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 5 kHz, followed by a gentle lift around 8 kHz. This adds just the right amount of shimmer on top without introducing harshness — ideal for pulling out the breath of a string section, the resonance of a piano, or the bloom of a room’s reverb tail.
