At the heart of the Master Stereo Set are two matched ELA M 260 tube microphones, each hand-assembled and powered by a dual-channel M960S regulated power supply. Built in the USA, this PSU features a slow-ramping heater voltage circuit to protect the NOS Philips 5840W vacuum tubes inside each mic—ensuring both long-term reliability and consistent tube performance. Whether you're recording acoustic instruments, string ensembles, percussion, or wide stereo soundscapes, the 260 Series captures every source with lush harmonic richness and fast, transparent transients.

Three Capsule Pairs. Total Control.

What sets the Master Set apart is its interchangeable capsule system. Included are three matched capsule pairs: the TK60 (cardioid), TK61 (omnidirectional), and TK62 (hypercardioid)—allowing you to tailor your stereo rig to the room, instrument, and application. From precise spot-miking to expansive Decca Tree arrays or immersive stereo fields, the ELA M 260 adapts to any session. Each capsule uses a 15mm gold-sputtered edge-terminated diaphragm, carefully matched for output and frequency to ensure stereo integrity across all pickup patterns.
