RME Digiface USB: 32 Channels of Digital I/O. Everything You Own, Finally Connected.

RME Digiface USB front and rear panel showing four optical ADAT ports and headphone output

Your Outboard Gear Has Been Waiting for This.

Picture your studio six months from now. The preamps you've been accumulating are all patched in. The ADAT-equipped converters you picked up are routing cleanly into your DAW. You have 32 channels of digital I/O running at up to 192 kHz, a 34th output feeding your headphones with an independent submix, and RME's SteadyClock holding everything locked without a single sample of jitter. All of it running off USB bus power with no external power supply in the chain.

That's the Digiface USB. It doesn't replace the gear you already have. It connects it. Four optical ports handle ADAT or S/PDIF independently on each port, and the inputs switch format automatically based on whatever signal they receive. If you have quality outboard and nowhere to send it, this is the missing link.

RME Digiface USB front panel showing optical ports and status LEDs

Four Optical Ports. Every Sample Rate Your Session Will Ever Need.

Each of the four optical ports operates independently and switches between ADAT and S/PDIF without reconfiguring the unit. At standard speed (44.1/48 kHz), all four ports run ADAT simultaneously for the full 32-channel input and 32-channel output count. At double speed (96 kHz, S/MUX), you get 16 channels. At quad speed (192 kHz, S/MUX4), eight channels. Each port can also run stereo S/PDIF instead of ADAT, giving you flexible digital routing to match any outboard configuration.

The headphone output on the rear panel carries channels 33 and 34, routable freely through TotalMix FX. That means a completely separate cue mix or monitoring signal running simultaneously with your main outputs, driven by an independent level control, without touching your DAW's output routing at all. Jitter stays below 1 ns in PLL mode across all sample rates. SyncAlign and SyncCheck handle multi-device synchronization automatically so you're not troubleshooting clock conflicts when you should be recording.

TotalMix FX: Up to 17 Independent Stereo Submixes on a Bus-Powered USB Interface.

TotalMix FX on the Digiface USB is the full routing engine: 17 fully independent stereo submixes running simultaneously, which is equivalent to 34 aux sends on an analog desk. Every input and every playback channel can be routed to any hardware output in any combination. ASIO Direct Monitoring runs with 46-bit internal precision so the latency between what you play and what you hear is effectively zero.

The ASIO multiclient driver lets multiple programs share the interface at the same time, routing each to its own output pair through TotalMix. The Digiface USB does not carry onboard DSP, so the FX processing in TotalMix requires your host computer. What it does deliver is rock-solid RME driver stability on Windows 8 and later, full Intel and Apple Silicon macOS support, and a sub-200g bus-powered form factor that fits in a jacket pocket. This is the channel count of a professional patchbay in something you can carry to a session without a second bag.

  • If your item is on backorder or unavailable, the pre-authorization will be voided and you will be notified by email.

  • Please note: While most items ship out within 1–2 business days, total delivery time is typically 3–5 business days, depending on your location and carrier handling.

Order Shipment

If your item is in stock and your payment has been processed, your order will typically ship within 1–2 business days. Total delivery time is approximately 3–5 business days from the date of order. Once shipped, you will receive tracking information at the email address provided during checkout within 24 hours of dispatch.

The Distributor-Direct Advantage

To ensure you receive the most recent hardware revisions and 100% factory-sealed units, Pro Audio Reserve utilizes a Distributor-Direct fulfillment model. Unlike big-box retailers that may ship "floor models" or gear that has been sitting in general-purpose warehouses, your equipment is pulled directly from the primary manufacturer hub, serialized, and dispatched. This process ensures the highest level of quality control for professional-grade recording equipment.

Shipping Policy

We currently offer free shipping within the United States only. If the checkout process on our website allows you to enter a shipping address and complete your order, your location is eligible to receive delivery.

Changing Shipping Address

If you need to change your shipping address after your order has been processed or shipped, we will do our best to accommodate the request. Please note that address changes may result in delivery delays. Any additional costs incurred due to address changes, including carrier fees or rerouting charges will be the responsibility of the customer. No exceptions.

Shipping Times

All shipping times provided are estimates and should not be considered guarantees. Most orders ship out within 1–2 business days from the time payment is processed. However, total delivery time is typically 3–5 business days, depending on your location, carrier performance, and supplier fulfillment timelines.

We work closely with our vendors to ensure timely deliveries, but please note that supply chain disruptions, high-demand periods, or weather events may occasionally cause delays beyond our control.

  • To avoid misunderstandings: The “shipping time” refers to the total time from order placement to final delivery, not just when the item leaves the warehouse.

  • Cancellations: If you choose to cancel your order because it has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, you may be responsible for applicable shipping charges, restocking fees, warehouse handling costs, and other related fees.

  • Chargebacks: Customers who initiate chargebacks due to shipping delays without contacting us first may be held legally responsible for losses. We strongly encourage open communication so we can resolve any delivery concerns directly and efficiently via our Atlanta-based support team.

Delivery Options

  • Threshold Shipping: Your item will be delivered to your front door, porch, garage, or a covered entryway.
