Description
Antelope Audio Orion 32+ Gen 4 front angle showing DB25 connectivity and OLED display

32 Channels of AD/DA. Master Clock Output. One Rack Unit.

Consider what it takes to run a console through a DAW at full channel count without the conversion becoming the limitation. Every return from your patchbay, every send to outboard, every stem feeding an analog summing box: all of it lives or dies on the quality of what's converting the signal and the precision of what's clocking the system. The Orion 32+ Gen 4 is built to handle that responsibility across 32 channels simultaneously, with 130 dB of dynamic range on the DA side, 122 dB on conversion, and 64-bit AFC clocking that doubles as a master Word Clock source for everything else in the rack.

This is not a general-purpose interface. It is the AD/DA backbone of a serious hybrid facility: 32 channels of DC-coupled analog I/O on eight DB25 connectors, 128 channels of MADI, 8 channels of ADAT, S/PDIF, dual Word Clock outputs, a 10 MHz atomic clock input, and Thunderbolt 3 for up to 128 channels to host. All ports run simultaneously. Nothing has to be traded off against anything else.

Antelope Audio Orion 32+ Gen 4 front panel showing OLED display and control buttons

AFC Clocking at the Atomic Level. Two Word Clock Outputs to Discipline the Whole Room.

Antelope's 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking technology started as the architecture behind their standalone master clocks, then moved into the Orion line as the conversion and clock were integrated into a single unit. The Gen 4 carries the same 4th-generation AFC circuit, the same jitter management algorithm, and the same clocking standard as the Trinity Master Clock. What you hear in a well-clocked system is not a discrete effect. It is wider stereo image, more clearly defined separation between elements, and a low end that resolves without smearing. That is what AFC does across 32 channels when the conversion is also handled by the same unit.

The 10 MHz input accepts Antelope's 10M and 10MX Atomic Clocks, which discipline the Orion's internal crystal oscillator to a rubidium reference standard. Both Word Clock outputs run at 75 ohm/3Vpp from 32 to 192 kHz, making the Orion 32+ Gen 4 the master clock for any downstream digital gear in the facility: converters, digital consoles, standalone recorders, outboard with Word Clock sync. One unit manages both the conversion and the timing infrastructure for the entire signal chain.

128 Channels via Thunderbolt and MADI. Four Units. One Computer Connection.

The Gen 4 doubles the Thunderbolt channel count and MADI connectivity of its predecessor. Via Thunderbolt 3, the Orion 32+ Gen 4 streams 128 channels at up to 192 kHz to host. Via MADI optical, it handles another 128 channels simultaneously, reduced at higher sample rates. Four units can be daisy-chained through a single Thunderbolt connection for 128 channels of AD/DA conversion running in parallel, which is the infrastructure underpinning large-format sessions, multi-room facilities, and broadcast environments where the analog I/O count of a single 1U rack unit is never going to be sufficient on its own.

The software control panel carries a fully customizable signal routing matrix, preset recall with instant store and load, and a monitoring pop-out widget with an always-on-top function for level control without switching windows. The Gen 4 is compatible with Antelope's Atmos-ready surround monitoring system, supporting over 23 audio formats from stereo to Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 with speaker and room calibration tools built into the platform. The optional Antelope MRC hardware controller extends tactile control into the room for engineers who want a physical interface for monitoring operations without going back to a screen.

The Distributor-Direct Advantage

To ensure you receive the most recent hardware revisions and 100% factory-sealed units, Pro Audio Reserve utilizes a Distributor-Direct fulfillment model. Unlike big-box retailers that may ship "floor models" or gear that has been sitting in general-purpose warehouses, your equipment is pulled directly from the primary manufacturer hub, serialized, and dispatched. This process ensures the highest level of quality control for professional-grade recording equipment.

Shipping Policy

We currently offer free shipping within the United States only. If the checkout process on our website allows you to enter a shipping address and complete your order, your location is eligible to receive delivery.

Changing Shipping Address

If you need to change your shipping address after your order has been processed or shipped, we will do our best to accommodate the request. Please note that address changes may result in delivery delays. Any additional costs incurred due to address changes, including carrier fees or rerouting charges will be the responsibility of the customer. No exceptions.

Shipping Times

All shipping times provided are estimates and should not be considered guarantees. Most orders ship out within 1–2 business days from the time payment is processed. However, total delivery time is typically 3–5 business days, depending on your location, carrier performance, and supplier fulfillment timelines.

We work closely with our vendors to ensure timely deliveries, but please note that supply chain disruptions, high-demand periods, or weather events may occasionally cause delays beyond our control.

  • To avoid misunderstandings: The “shipping time” refers to the total time from order placement to final delivery, not just when the item leaves the warehouse.

  • Cancellations: If you choose to cancel your order because it has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, you may be responsible for applicable shipping charges, restocking fees, warehouse handling costs, and other related fees.

  • Chargebacks: Customers who initiate chargebacks due to shipping delays without contacting us first may be held legally responsible for losses. We strongly encourage open communication so we can resolve any delivery concerns directly and efficiently via our Atlanta-based support team.
