RME 12Mic – 12-Channel Networked Mic Preamp with MADI, ADAT, and AVB

The RME 12Mic is a 12-channel microphone and line-level preamp designed for professional audio over digital networks. Built for studio, broadcast, and live sound environments, it offers ultra-transparent preamps, remote control, and flexible digital routing with AVB, MADI, and ADAT connectivity—all packed into a compact 1U rackmount format.

Each input stage delivers a wide 75 dB gain range with no pad, ensuring clean and transparent audio capture. The unit includes four XLR-1/4" combo inputs and eight XLR inputs, supporting mic, line, and instrument-level sources. Front panel control gives quick access, while full remote access is available over Wi-Fi or Ethernet via an intuitive web interface.

On the digital side, the 12Mic is equipped with BNC MADI I/O, MADI over SFP (optical), three ADAT outputs, USB connectivity, and dual Ethernet ports for AVB networking. MADI can be used in independent or redundant modes, and AVB ports follow MILAN standards for guaranteed bandwidth and fixed latency performance. RME’s SteadyClock FS technology ensures ultra-stable clocking and jitter-free audio.

With redundant AC and DC power inputs, the 12Mic is built for reliability. The internal routing matrix allows flexible signal paths, including direct routing to the headphone output for easy monitoring or troubleshooting. Whether you're capturing a live session, building an AVB-based facility, or extending your MADI workflow, the RME 12Mic is a powerful and adaptable solution.
