It's built in batches of fifty by a small team of skilled craftspeople in a boutique workshop — point-to-point wiring on Rogers circuit boards, Mundorf Supreme Silver Gold solder at every joint, Teflon-insulated silver-plated copper wire throughout. Every detail of the build exists because someone made a deliberate decision that it was the right way to do it.

For every production run of fifty microphones, approximately 200 capsules are evaluated and measured to find the fifty that fall within the tightest possible tolerances. The capsule you get isn't just good — it's one of the best from a pool of four times as many candidates.
