Six Aux Sends That Actually Cover Your Monitor Situation

Most touring bands and working houses of worship hit the same wall with undersized mixers: not enough aux sends to give the drummer, the vocals, and the in-ears all different mixes without making compromises. The WZ4 16:2 gives you six, and the routing architecture is thought through properly. Auxes 1 and 2 are pre-fade for stage monitors. Auxes 3 and 4 are switchable pre or post-fade, covering additional monitor mixes, effects sends, or zone feeds depending on the gig. Auxes 5 and 6 run post-fader for effects and aux-fed subwoofers. Every aux has its own master level rotary and impedance-balanced TRS output. The onboard monitoring system lets you listen to any aux in mono or as a stereo pair directly from the headphone output.

The dedicated mono output fader runs independently of the main L/R bus. Switch it to L+R mono for a centre fill or delay stack, or configure it as a separate sub feed for aux-fed bass. The talkback mic handles communication to stage monitors during soundcheck without pulling the main mix. Each channel also carries a TRS insert and a pre-fade direct output, so you can send individual channels to an outboard recorder or interface independently of the mix for multitrack capture without any additional routing workarounds. The 4-band EQ on every channel includes two sweepable mid frequencies, which matters more than most spec comparisons let on. Fixed-mid EQs force you to reach for whatever frequency point is closest to the problem and make do.
